Today, October 1, 2023, marks the beginning of a journey I've long yearned for – a 30-day wellness reset. It's time to embark on a path of self-discovery, self-improvement, and self-care. This diary will serve as my faithful companion, capturing my daily struggles, small victories, and the gradual transformation that I hope to achieve.

For far too long, I've found myself at odds with my body. My struggles with listening to its subtle cues and needs have taken a toll on my overall well-being. My emotional eating habits have been a constant companion, and I've often turned to food to soothe my feelings, burying them beneath layers of indulgence. This behavior has escalated over the last year with the loss of my life partner, Tom. I've been guilty of neglecting movement and exercise, allowing inertia to take hold.

But no more! It's time to confront these issues head-on, to unravel the complex relationship I have with my body, food, and emotions. This 30-day journey is my commitment to regain control over my health and happiness.

Each day, I'll strive to become more in tune with my body, to nourish it with love, care, and wholesome foods. I'll work on breaking free from the shackles of emotional eating, replacing it with healthier coping mechanisms. Movement, once a neglected part of my life, I will work at so that it becomes a cherished daily ritual, a source of strength, and vitality. Most importantly, I'll aim to create a space where I can acknowledge, process, and express my emotions openly, without the need to bury them beneath a layer of comfort food.

This diary will be my sanctuary to document my journey's highs and lows, as well as the revelations and insights that come along the way. It will serve as a reminder of my commitment to lasting change and the promise of a healthier, happier, and more harmonious relationship with my body.
